I have been with United Barbell Club for 6 months. I have seen great improvement in my lifts, both in strength and technique, and I feel much more comfortable and confident in myself. I would highly recommend Mandeep’s coaching/classes. He takes his time to critique my lifts and always has advice on how I can improve. He pushes me to work harder and he believes in me, even when I don’t.
I started with Mandeep originally wanting to improve my athleticism for sports. I had an interest in strength sports but felt it was too “extreme” or unattainable. After an injury, Mandeep had me working on a strength program and it really opened my eye to individual strength sports. In the time I’ve trained with Mandeep, I’ve now Clean and Jerked my original backsquat, competed several times, and become bounds stronger. My technique has improved significantly, and enjoy weightlifting as a competitive sport.
After taking time off from the gym, I wanted to learn how to snatch properly, sumo deadlift and get back to my original PRs. Now – I’ve relearned how to oly lift and other basic lifts from my bad CrossFit techniques and become better as a lifter. I’d absolutely recommend United Barbell Club!
During my time working out with United Barbell Club, I have seen tremendous improvement in my strength as I have increased all my major lifts by a significant amount. When I started with Mandeep in 2020, I wanted to improve my weightlifting and gain muscle. Since then, I’ve definitely done both of those things! I’ve been working with United Barbell Club for around 1 year, uninterrupted. I have improved much more than I ever have working out on and off for many years in a commercial gym doing the generic online exercises. Mandeep knows his stuff and is able to tailor his program to your needs and weaknesses. He does not do the typical cookie cutter programs like the commercial gyms which are a not effective for all people.
Mandeep always has a plan to keep on progressing and getting closer to your goals no matter the circumstances. He has created a supportive team and training environment that will bring out the best in any beginner or competitive athlete.
I would highly recommend working with United Barbell Club. It’s a great introduction to weightlifting if you are new as Mandeep takes the whole lifting movement point by point and provides great cues around both Snatch and Clean & Jerk that will help your skills immensely. Moreover, if you are an intermediate or skilled athlete, Mandeep will provide you a challenging program with a lot of helpful tips that will fine tune your already well developed skills.
